Remote Mechanical Design Engineer - SolidWorks / Sheet Metal / Power Generation Enclosures
A US-based engineering and manufacturing company is looking for a South African Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design of custom sound-attenuated enclosures, E-Houses and related systems for power-generation, renewable-energy and industrial applications.
Key requirements
Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar qualification
3+ years design engineering experience
Strong SolidWorks 3D modelling and 2D drafting ability
Sheet metal, fabrication or equipment packaging experience
Ability to create detailed manufacturing drawings and BOMs
Understanding of DFM, practical manufacturing and assembly
Experience with generator enclosures, acoustic enclosures, switchgear, battery storage, containers or E-Houses is a strong advantage

Ability to attend scheduled online meetings with a US-based team
